The Home Builders Association of Dayton recently announced their People’s Choice Awards presented by 84 Lumber to the association’s Homearama Touring Edition presented by Vectren builders. The 2016 Homearama event showcased 10 newly constructed homes located in several communities throughout the Miami Valley. The participating Home Builders Association of Dayton builders included: Brentwood Builders, Inc.; Catalyst Homes, Inc.; Charles Simms Development; Custom Concepts Construction Company, LLC; Daniel DeVol Custom Builder, Inc.; G.A. White Homes; Generations Construction; M/M Construction; Peebles Homes, LLC; and R. M. Clemens Company.

The scattered-site tour of homes featured houses to fit any budget and any lifestyle. House prices ranged from $129,900 to over $1.5 million and the best of urban, suburban, rural, small town and estate living were displayed. The Homearama homes had never been seen by the public before and most of the houses were sold before the event started, making the 2016 Homearama Touring Edition the public’s only opportunity to view the interiors. The touring Homearama format allowed prospective home owners and visitors a chance to experience the craftsmanship and talent of local Home Builders Association of Dayton builders. The homes highlighted the latest amenities available, design trends and home technology. The Homearama Touring Edition presented by Vectren showed that there truly is something for every lifestyle.

The 2016 Homearama homes this year encompassed a great span of the Dayton area and allowed guests an opportunity to experience many different communities throughout the Miami Valley. Homes were located from downtown Dayton to Waynesville, and Germantown to Cedarville. Each of the 10 homes truly showcased a vast array of lifestyles. The scattered-site has been a great success the last two years, and we look forward to continuing this type of show in the years to come.

In addition to the beautiful homes, the builder-participants and others associated with the industry hosted garage exhibits and seminars throughout the show. Guests could learn from the professionals about home audio and video technologies, landscaping, interior design and much more. The Homearama builders strived to give each guest a true “home” experience to not only showcase their industry and passion for creating great houses, but also to highlight the best features available today to homeowners.

Guests that visited six or more Homearama houses had the opportunity to vote for their favorite homes by registering on the DaytonHomearama.com website or Dayton Homearama Touring Edition mobile app. More than 2,500 votes were cast for the 2016 People’s Choice Awards presented by 84 Lumber. Voters could select one home per price tier – homes $450,000 and below, homes between $450,001 - $750,000 and homes $750,001 and above.
