III. Core Strategies

The following core strategies identify the top level direction for HBA to the Year 2010. These priorities taken as a whole represent the “one-page” strategic plan for the future. Each of the following core strategies will be supported by a set of strategic objectives and action plans for implementation over the next five years.

Core Strategy A– Strengthen Communication and Involvement with and among Members

Strengthen communication and involvement with and among members through technology, involvement of member segments, and improved meetings of the Association.

Core Strategy B– Improve the Climate for All Phases of Residential Construction and Land Use Policy

Leverage our relationships with government officials to educate citizen groups and local elected and appointed officials on all phases of residential construction and land use policy.

Core Strategy C– Develop Member Education

Develop member education programs which enable members to improve their business knowledge, effectiveness, and profitability.

Core Strategy D– Diversify our Program Offerings and Financial Resources

Diversify our program offerings and financial resources to strengthen the value to members and the financial vitality of the HBA.

Core Strategy E– Redefine the Member Profile of HBA

Redefine the member profile of the HBA to include new geographic areas and member segments strengthening our industry leadership.

Core Strategy F– Partner with the Economic Development Community

Partner with the economic development and planning community to market the Dayton area as a housing and lifestyle destination.
