If you visit the HBAD's website to browse, read, or download information, the HBAD web server may recognize and log your IP Address but will not gather personally identifiable information about you (excluding information you may elect to send to the HBAD via e-mail). The server is also capable of gathering information about what pages in its website you have accessed and the length of time you have visited a certain page. In addition, it can sometimes be determined how you reached the HBAD website (such as by determining what search engine you used or whether an advertising banner ad or other link was involved.) This information is used by the HBAD internally and with its consultants in connection with the HBAD's marketing efforts.

As an HBAD Member, you will receive a username and password from HBAD to access the Members' only benefits, materials and information on the HBAD website. Please contact info@hbadayton.com or 937-298-2900 if you need to receive your information. The types of information the HBAD may collect from registered users include email addresses, credit card numbers, and billing and shipping addresses. The HBAD collects this information to ensure the integrity of the services it provides to its Members and to retain accurate records for billing and shipping. As an HBAD Member, you can elect not to provide the requested information; however, you may not be able to take advantage of the HBAD's member services without disclosure of the requested information.

Personally Provided Information

You are not required to provide the HBAD with personal information to visit its website. If you choose to provide the HBAD with personal information through an e-mail message, form, survey, etc., the HBAD will maintain such information only as long as is necessary to respond to your question or to fulfill the stated purpose of your communication. If you register for or enroll in a program or service through the HBAD website, make purchases from its on-line offerings, respond to a request for information or make any other on-line request of the HBAD, you will be voluntarily providing personally identifiable information. We also automatically receive and record information on our server logs from your browser, including your IP address, cookie information and the page(s) you visited. We will not sell your personally identifiable information to anyone. If you do not agree with the HBAD's Privacy Policy, please do not provide the requested information. You may nevertheless continue to visit the HBAD website, subject, however, to the collection of the information discussed above.

Use of Personal Information

The HBAD does not sell, trade or rent the information it collects from visitors to its website. However, the HBAD may share the data it collects with the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) or the Ohio Home Builders Association (OHBA) and others who deliver services to the residential construction industry. The HBAD reserves the right at all times to monitor, review and/or disclose any information necessary to satisfy any applicable law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request or to cooperate with law enforcement and other authorities in investigating a claim of illegal activity.

REGISTRATION & ORDERING

When attending our conferences, trade shows, other in-person events, and by participating in our member webcasts, using our website and signing up for certain selected services users must first register. During registration, users are required to give their contact information (such as name, e-mail address, mailing address and phone number). For internal purposes, we use this information to communicate with members and other interested parties, and provide requested services, and, for our website visitors, to provide a more personalized experience on our site. We also may collect demographic information (such as job title and company information). We use aggregate demographic information about our audience to improve our service, for marketing purposes and/or industry reporting purposes. For our services that require payment (such as certain events, products and subscriptions), we also collect credit card information (such as account name, number, billing zip code and expiration date), which is used for billing purposes only, and is not otherwise shared.  We do not retain credit card information after transactions are processed.  All reports for user-performed online transactions produce truncated credit card information, and do not display full credit card information to MRCA staff.

E-MAIL NEWSLETTERS

If users wish to subscribe to our e-mail newsletters, we ask for contact information (such as name, e-mail address and, occasionally, demographic information). We use this information in the same manner as we use contact information in the registration and ordering process described above. Recipients of our newsletters can unsubscribe at any time.

WITH WHOM YOUR INFORMATION IS SHARED

When we have co-branded, customized, private label, sponsored products and services, or when we join with other parties to provide specific services (however we do not share credit card information with such third parties), then we may share (provide and receive) personal information with such third party, subject to the customer's preferences (as described in the "Permission" section below). Other than as set forth above, we do not share personally identifiable information with other associations or companies, apart from those acting as our agents in providing our product(s)/service(s), and which agree to use it only for that purpose and to keep the information secure and confidential. We will disclose information we maintain when required to do so by law, for example, in response to a court order or a subpoena or other legal obligation, in response to a law enforcement agency's request, or in special cases when we have reason to believe that disclosing this information is necessary to identify, contact or bring legal action against someone who may be causing injury to or interference with (either intentionally or unintentionally) our rights or property. Users should also be aware that courts of equity, such as U.S. Bankruptcy Courts, might have the authority under certain circumstances to permit personal information to be shared or transferred to third parties without permission. We may share aggregate information, which is not personally identifiable, with others. This information may include usage and demographic data, but it will not include personal information.
